Do it before it exists;
govern it before there’s disorder.
The most massive tree grows from a sprout;
the highest building rises from a pile of earth;
a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.
~ Tao Te Ching, 64
In the beginning there is so much emphasis on planning. As tasks and projects run their course it can be easy to lose sight of the end, the completion. Begin with the end in mind.
Finish it when it is done, not a moment before or a moment after. The secret to a masterpiece is knowing when to stop.
