There is a podcast of an interview with Seth Godin over at Duct Tape Marketing.

I wanted to make a video and share some of my thoughts with you:

Take-aways from the podcast:
How can you not generate big ideas every day? Some of them will not be good ideas, but that is okay. Get them out of your head.

Good ideas come from doing something differently, an unusual experience, an unexpected inspiration. Seek these experiences intentionally. Listen to a radio program that you disagree with, or music that you do not like.

Go to a restaurant that you’ve never been to, or a movie that you wouldn’t normally see.

The ideas that these novel experiences produce will be different than your every-day ideas, because they force open new thought-channels and new responses to unexpected stimuli.

Be willing to go to the edge and create something unexpected.

Stand for something and do work that matters. Once you decide to do it, you will find a way to succeed.

Please share your thoughts in the comments.
